PRESENTATION NIGHT ResultsCongratulations to all our 2011.12 Award Winners** Patrol Service Certificates – service awards given for 100% patrol service. 10 Years Service – Amelia Cole and Joanne Jameson. 15 Years Service – Cathy Cole and Greg Elfick Sheather and Merrigan Rookie of the Year - Annie Jones completed 48 hours of patrol, represented our club at all junior carnivals, at the Raising of the Flags and at the Rookie Challenge. She also helped out at numerous club events including the Carols on the Beach and Ocean Swim. Competition AwardsBoat Rower of the Year – Michael Bridge, Thanks to Senior Competition Coaches – Paul Stone, Paul Broadbent, Paul Lemmon, Amanda White, Tim Schofield, Steve Graham, Dennis Gee. Thanks to Senior Officials - Richard Hudson, Beris Meldrum, Dennis Gee, Kristina O’Hagen, Tony Hall, Chris Jones, Kathryn Harris and Peter McGowan all did more than 5 carnivals each this season. Volunteer of the Year – Debi Barnes takes on an enormous workload for Terrigal SLSC including Director of Finance, Water Safety Coordinator. She completed123 patrol hours, 53 water safety and 28 as a substitute for other members and helped at numerous events including Carols, Ocean Swim, setup and packup of carnivals. Duke of Edinburgh awards – Bronze Awards completed by Max Baker, Matt Reynolds, Anthony Jones, Aiden McEnearney, Rene Sturmberg, Aaron Ronalds, Sam Tancred. Instructor of the Year – David Mansfield was nominated by several club members, he is an outstanding mentor of developing trainers, instructor of Bronze groups and assessor. Club Rookie of the Year – Andrea Ryden – completed 41 hours of patrol this season, gained her Basic Beach Management Award and ATV Induction and is working towards her Trainers Certificate. Patrol of the Year – Patrol 12 Young Patrol Person - Max Baker – gained his Bronze in February 2011, and completed 52 hours of patrol including 15 hours of substitutes this season and is fast developing into a leader of the future. Patrolperson of the Year - Toni Jones – has completed over 120 hours of patrol this season including 47 sub hours and also numerous hours of water safety. She has also developed as a trainer, delivering Surf Ed and SRC courses, helped out at many events including Carols, Ocean swim and Terrigal Carnivals. Honour Blazer recipient – Justin Kaeser Young Clubperson of the Year - Anthony Jones – AJ’s contribution to our club has been across many areas including patrolling (87 hours), coaching of nippers in beach events, water safety and event assistance including ocean swim, Erina Fair Days and Carols, as well as completing their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh award and representing the club at the 15-17 leadership program and NSW Youth Opportunity Makers workshop. Clubperson of the Year - Glenn Bowles – has been the Director of Lifesaving for the last 2 seasons, and has managed and developed all of the club’s lifesaving activities with an outstanding level of professionalism. He is an inaugural member of the night operations IRB team and is a trainer and IRB competitor, delivered ATV inductions to over 50 club members, completed many hours of patrol including subs for loads of people over the Christmas period, and led our club to win the 2011 Patrol Competition at Branch. **A link will be provided next week showing all the photos of the evening.
